Rasperry Pi/RaspBMC/XBMC/Kodi – How to stop videos repeating after they’ve finished

When I bought my Raspberry Pi, I imagined I’d spend a lot of time coding on it.  When it arrived, I discovered that it had Minecraft on it, so my son spent a lot of time playing that.  Then I discovered RaspBMC/Kodi, and now, it is more or less a permanent media player.

Recently, it started to repeat every video file it played, which was pretty annoying, and it has taken me ages to find out how to stop it.  I hope this helps someone.

While you are watching a video, press the Context key C, to see the ‘Now Playing’ screen.  Then the right arrow (seek step forward) key to reveal a pop-up menu on the left-hand side of the screen.  There, you will see the Repeat option.  It will probably say All.  Go down to it, press Enter, and change it to None.  Press the right arrow key again to get rid of the menu, and then Escape to get back to the video.

Worked for me, anyway.
